Trust & Safety

At Stra, trust is not an afterthought, it is part of how the marketplace is built. Our platform is designed to reduce fraud, improve listing quality, protect payments, and create a safer experience for both buyers and sellers. We combine verification systems, AI-assisted checks, platform controls, secure payment flows, and human review to help keep transactions structured and reliable.

01

Listing Verification & Product Integrity

Stra is built to reduce fake, misleading, or low-quality listings before they reach buyers.

Depending on the type of item and seller activity, Stra may require product photos and detailed descriptions; a 20–30 second live verification video for eligible listings; clear disclosure of an item's condition, usage history, defects, or damage.

Stra may use AI-assisted review and human moderation to compare listing content, review suspicious inconsistencies, and flag listings that appear misleading, unsafe, duplicated, counterfeit, or inconsistent with submitted verification.

02

Secure Payments & Escrow Protection

Stra uses a structured payment flow to reduce risk on both sides of a transaction.

When a buyer places an order, payment may be processed through approved payment infrastructure and held within a protected settlement or escrow flow until the transaction reaches the required completion stage. This helps prevent sellers from being paid upfront before the item is delivered and the order qualifies for release.

Where a transaction is flagged for risk, dispute, return, or review, Stra may delay payout while the matter is assessed.

03

Buyer Protection & Dispute Handling

We understand that trust in a marketplace depends on what happens when something goes wrong. In as much as we're interested in making sellers money we also care about making sure buyer get what they see and paid for.

If an item arrives materially different from its description, damaged, or otherwise qualifies under Stra's dispute rules, the buyer may report the issue during the platform's review window. Stra may then assess the available evidence, which can include listing content, delivery records, uploaded proof, seller disclosures, and dispute submissions.

Where appropriate, Stra may authorize refunds, returns, payout holds, or other corrective action in line with platform policy.

04

Seller Protection Against Abuse

Trust & Safety is not only about protecting buyers, it also means protecting legitimate sellers from unfair claims and platform abuse. While our priority is ensuring buyers receive exactly what they see and pay for, we are equally dedicated to helping our sellers maximize their earnings.

Stra may review delivery confirmation, listing evidence, communication records, dispute timelines, and transaction behavior before taking action. This helps us reduce false complaints; abusive refund requests; manipulation of delivery outcomes; fraudulent buyer behavior; attempts to exploit escrow or dispute systems.

05

Safer Marketplace Controls

Stra uses platform rules and operational controls to reduce common peer-to-peer marketplace risks.

These protections may include restricting or masking certain personal contact details between users; discouraging off-platform payment arrangements; monitoring suspicious listing or transaction activity; reviewing repeated fraud signals, account abuse, or policy violations; limiting, suspending, or removing listings and accounts where necessary.

06

Human Review + Technology Working Together

No single system catches everything. That is why Stra combines automation and human judgment.

Our systems may help identify listing mismatches; suspicious account behavior; unusual pricing or transaction activity; prohibited or restricted goods; counterfeit or misleading listings; delivery or dispute irregularities.

Where needed, these signals are reviewed by people as part of moderation, support, or dispute handling workflows.

07

Your Role in Keeping Stra Safe

Trust works best when everyone uses the platform responsibly. Users are expected to:

— provide accurate information and honest item descriptions;

— upload genuine photos, videos, and listing details;

— avoid counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or prohibited goods;

— keep communication and payment activity within Stra where required;

— report suspicious listings, fraud, or abusive behavior promptly.

08

A Safer Way to Buy and Sell

Stra's Trust & Safety framework is designed to support a marketplace where transactions feel more secure, product quality is better controlled, and both buyers and sellers have clearer protection than in a typical unstructured peer-to-peer marketplace. While no platform can eliminate every risk, Stra is built to reduce avoidable fraud, improve accountability, and create a more reliable buying and selling experience.
